About Us
The Vesta Roy Excellence in Public Service Series is a political leadership training program for New Hampshire Republican women. Our mission is to increase the number and influence of Republican women in elected and appointed government positions at the local, state, and federal levels while developing volunteers for all political roles.
Through expert presentations and skills-building exercises, women interested in politics and public service gain the confidence to turn that interest into activism. The Vesta Roy Series is designed for women who have not yet held state level elected office.
Our classes include NH natives and newcomers, newlyweds and grandmothers, businesswomen and stay-at-home moms, seasoned volunteers and political novices.
Named after the first woman to serve as New Hampshire Governor, the Vesta Roy Series was founded in 2003 by a group of Republican activists who were concerned about the declining number of Republican women in public office. It is part of a loose affiliation of independent Excellence in Public Service programs established in twenty states. The Vesta Roy Series is a registered political nonprofit organization led by a volunteer board and funded by registration fees, fundraising events, donations, and sponsorships.
